The Green Child, Ronda
God Please Guide Me Safely Through

<< -- >>

Tortured heart in the midst of warmth.
Scary thoughts run rampede,
Filling me with fear,
No one human knows what life holds.
That's the scariest thing of all.

Then, it's up to God.
To tell us lowly humans what to do.
But what if we don't listen?
What if we hear Him wrong?

There are so many questions,
Does God hear me, down here trapped?
Does God see me, down here concerned?
Does God know me, down here worried?
Does God feel me, down here cold?

God hears, sees, knows, and feels all
With that in mind, why do I still worry?
Why do I still fret?
Why do I still wonder?
Why do I still misunderstand?

"Precious Lord, take my hand."
Those words ring true.
"I am weak, I am worn,"
Go please guide me safely through.
